Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 12, 2026
Azkaar (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is developed by DouzeTech. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and how it is used. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
- Account information: username, email address, and a securely hashed password.
- Practice data: the azkaar (remembrance) routines you build, your daily counts, streaks, and completion history, so the app can show your progress over time.
- Location (approximate, manually selected): the app does not access device GPS. You pick a city from a fixed list, and we use that city’s coordinates to calculate daily prayer times.
- Custom content you create: if you author your own azkar entry, its text and your authorship are stored so it can appear in your library and, if you choose to suggest it for wider publishing and it is approved, in other users’ libraries too.
How we use this information
Solely to operate the app: authenticating you, syncing your routines and progress across sessions, calculating prayer times for your selected location, and displaying content you or other approved authors have created. We do not sell your data or share it with third-party advertisers.
Data storage
Your data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database. Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are hashed before being saved. Session tokens are stored on your device and used to authenticate API requests.
Your choices
You can remove any azkar from your routine at any time within the app. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us using the details below.
Children’s privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date above will change accordingly. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
